Little Bird Cookie Co. makes hand-crafted, uniquely-flavored seasonal gourmet cookies from scratch. Our cookies are made only from real ingredients – real butter, eggs, whole wheat flour, premium spices, even fresh citrus zest – with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. Little Bird cookies are currently sold at JCafe in Pelham, Slave to the Grind in Bronxville, and First Village Coffee in Ossining.
Owner and baker Jessica Solomon has had a varied career path prior to starting Little Bird Cookie Co., including arts management, fundraising and special events for non-profits, but certainly counts Little Bird among the most fulfilling. Shortly after the birth of her daughter, Jessica’s sweet tooth searched high and low in local bakeries for a flavorful-yet-not-too-sweet chewy cookie, but couldn’t find anything that made her think, “Wow.” She tinkered around with recipes until she made the perfect Dutch chocolate cookie, which later became our best-selling Mexican Hot Chocolate.
After folks asked to buy bags of cookies for the holidays (and the opportunity to sell them at a local street fair came about), Little Bird was born in 2010, and the more unusual flavors were the biggest hits. Our unique, seasonal varieties are what makes us stand out, and our commitment to using real ingredients – good butter, King Arthur flour, Domino sugar, local eggs, premium spices, and quality nuts and chocolate – keep customers coming back for more.
Jessica resides in Pelham, NY with her husband, their three children, and their adorable kitty cat, Lucy.
